Thank you to those who attended the 2025 conference at the Embassy Suites by Hilton, Lake Buena Vista South. Our success comes from our excellent presenters and from the energy generated by those attending! Overall attendance matched 2024. We saw exciting growth in group registrations with the number of organizations increasing from four to seven and the individual registrants more than doubled!
The Conference Planning Team (CPT) is again using evaluation feedback to plan the 2025 conference. Updates regarding planning progress and the incorporation of participant input will be shared on FAHQ’s web pages.

CONFERENCE SITE
We will be returning to the Embassy Suites, Lake Buena Vista South. In 2024 and 2025 we used your comments to pursue improvement in the areas you suggested:
Feedback on guest rooms at our host hotel: Following concerns in 2023, the hotel renovated all guest rooms and improved staff response to guest issues. 2025 feedback strongly supports continuing to use this venue for our conference.
Feedback on conference facilities at our host hotel: The 2025 move of all conference activities to the Palms corridor received positive feedback. Attendee liked the speaker session seating arrangement and the increased power access in the meeting room, which we will continue for 2026.
Feedback on hotel guest rooms and guest services: Feedback in the evaluations returned to very positive especially with the guest room improvements following the 2023 conference. In 2025 you will also see reduced cost for your hotel rooms! See Impact of New Schedule below
Feedback on food service during conference: Feedback on changes implemented this year to expand access time for breaks and to provide hot entrees for lunch has been positive. Food service is the largest conference expense, and the FAHQ Board requested budgeting in this area be carefully managed in order to maintain reasonable conference fees.
Hotel internet access: We did have concerns expressed about the quality and security of internet access in the hotel, especially in the meeting rooms. Your conference Planning Team is working with our hotel contacts to address your concerns.
Impact of New Schedule: In 2025 we moved to a Tuesday through Thursday schedule as it allowed better conference space access and also better scheduling choices. 80% of respondents to our post-conference survey supported the new model!

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
FAHQ will continue to offer both Florida Board of Nursing credit as well as credit for the complementary Florida Boards: Respiratory Care, Dietetics/Nutrition, and Licensed Midwifery. FAHQ will enter your CE credit into CE Broker.
We are exploring whether we can expand the list of complementary board credit offered. When you provide your license number at conference check-in, If you are currently licensed in Florida by board not listed above, contact our Conference Registrar to make sure we include your licensing board as we explore possibilities for expanding the complementary board list.
We will also continue to offer pre-approval of the entire conference for CPHQ recertification, awarded by the National Association for Healthcare Quality. Please review the 2025-Candidate-Recertification-Handbook_V.2025.3.pdf for information on documentation you need to keep for your CPHQ recertification.
CE Hours: The call for speaker and poster abstracts is open! SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT to share your expertise at conference. The Conference Planning Team will determine CE hours when the schedule is set.
